2017 Life Review: 2018 Resolutions

2017 was by far one of my favorite years but such as life goes the highs were high and the lows were low.

  • In 2017 we packed up everything and moved to Utah
  • Experienced -20 degrees and snow in massive amounts
  • Adam started helicopter school

  • We traveled a lot this year and some of my favorite memories were this year!
  • I photographed 30 weddings and was on an airplane around 60 times (racking up those miles)
  • We took the family to San Francisco for our annual baseball stadium trip
  • The boys saw the ocean for the first time and were on ESPN

  • The boys went to their first swim lessons and swam almost every day in the summer
  • We learned that baseball is definitely Beau’s sport! He has the best swing any 1 yr old could have
  • Adam flew solo for the first time
  • We walked to church – We’ve always had to drive 20 minutes to church so it is nice having our church across the street
  • We traveled to Kauai (Our absolute favorite trip ever) Adam and I still talk about this trip daily and can’t wait to go back
  • We saw Kauai from land, sea, and sky.
  • Adam jumped in the ocean for the first time ever
  • We swam underneath an incredible (freezing) waterfall – most people that hiked to it didn’t get in because it was so so cold (take your breath away cold) but me and Adam looked at each other and said “well we didn’t come this far” and just jumped right in.
  • Saw Dolphins — EEK. My obsession with them is still very real since I was 10.
  • I was really determined to get my body back this year and I was really proud of myself for the first time in a long time. Moms can have abs too!
  • Boys 2nd Halloween Toy Story was their favorite movie this year / Woody + Buzz- Name a more iconic duo, I’ll wait.
  • They turned 2
  • Somehow this year they went from babies to little boys and I can’t figure out when that happened 😩
  • They grew HAIR. Wow didn’t think it would ever happen. Love my baby baldies but they are so handsome now! Thank you Monat!
  • Experienced our first real fall. Nobody does fall better than Utah
  • Photographed A LOT. Wow it was so amazing to be a part of so many love stories. A destination engagement to L.A. was definitely top of the list. But anywhere with a beach is usually my happy plac
  • We lost an amazing, dad, father in law, husband, and Papa this year to cancer. We take comfort in knowing we will see him again and he is no longer trapped in a sick body.
  • The boys had their first flight, it uh well didn’t go great.
  • We are going to continue Papa and Granna’s tradition of visiting baseball park
  • Taking a drive in Papa’s truck and remembering him
  • A white Christmas in the mountains was magical
  • Ended the year traveling back to Oklahoma to spend some time with Granna
